Volkswagen to Unveil 2025 Jetta and Jetta GLI

TapTechNews June 23rd news, Volkswagen announces the upcoming 2025 Jetta and Jetta GLI. These two new cars will make their debut at 9 a.m. Eastern Time on June 25th in the US. (TapTechNews note: 9 p.m. Beijing Time on June 25th) and will arrive at dealerships by the end of the third quarter.

Although Volkswagen is tight-lipped about the details of the new cars, they have released a teaser image that seemingly shows the new Jetta GLI. The teaser image reveals that the model will have a new front bumper and a honeycomb grille air intake. Also visible are the words Let’s Go and graphics of a highway and a bridge.

Interestingly, spy photos of the facelifted Jetta GLI appeared on the social media platform Reddit as early as a month ago, but didn't attract much attention. However, judging from this teaser image and the previous spy photos, these spy photos seem to be real.

It's not yet clear if the new models will get a new engine. The current Jetta is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that provides 160 horsepower and 249 Nm of torque. While the GLI has more powerful output with its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of providing 231 horsepower and 349 Nm of torque.
