TapTechNews September 24th news, the tech media MacRumors released a blog post yesterday (September 23rd), reporting that after users upgrade to the 5th Beta version of macOS 15.1 Sequoia and iOS 18.1, the mirroring function of iPhone and Mac devices supports dragging and dropping files.
TapTechNews attached the following official Apple introduction:
iPhone Mirroring allows you to use the iPhone from a nearby Mac. When used remotely on a Mac, the iPhone remains locked.
iPhone notifications will forward notifications to a nearby Mac to avoid missing any notifications. You can receive notifications for each App or only for selected Apps.
After users upgrade the iPhone to iOS 18.1 Beta 5 and the Mac device to macOS 15.1 Sequoia Beta 5 update, they can drag and drop files between iPhone and Mac devices.
For example, users can drag photos and other files from the Mac to the Photos app on the iPhone; drag PDF files to the Files app on the iPhone. The operation of dragging files from the iPhone to the Mac is basically the same, and users just need to drag it to the position you want.
iOS 18.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.1 are expected to be officially released in October.
