Sharp Launches Entry-Level Phone SimpleSumaho 7 in Japan for Elderly

TapTechNews June 29th news, Sharp has launched an entry-level phone, SimpleSumaho 7, in Japan. It is specially designed for the elderly in Japan. The 4+64GB version costs 59760 yen (TapTechNews note: currently about 2709 RMB). It is only available through SoftBank.

As shown in the picture, this model has a simple design and there are three physical buttons below the screen, which can be used even by the elderly.

This phone is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, uses LPDDR4X + UFS 2.2 storage, supports a maximum of 1TB TF card expansion, uses a 5.7-inch LCD screen and has a resolution of 1520*720 and a refresh rate of 60Hz.

Compared to SimpleSumaho 6, Sharp SimpleSumaho 7 mainly upgrades the imaging system. The rear uses a 50.3MP lens (the previous generation was 12MP) and the front is still an 8MP selfie lens.

In addition, this phone has a built-in 4000mAh battery, the dimensions are 158 x 71 x 9.4mm, weighs about 174g, adopts a side fingerprint recognition solution, pre-installs Android 14 system, supports 5G, uses a Type-C interface, also supports NFC and IP68 water resistance, and complies with the MIL-STD-810H anti-drop standard.
