Tesla to Recall 125K+ EVs in US for seat belt issue

TapTechNews May 31 - The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Friday that Tesla will recall 125,227 electric vehicles in the US due to a malfunction in the seat belt warning system. In response, Tesla will solve the problem through an over-the-air (OTA) software update.

The NHTSA stated that these vehicles failed to comply with federal safety requirements because when the driver does not fasten the seat belt, the seat belt warning light and audible prompt of Tesla vehicles may not activate as expected.
