Hong Kong Customs Seizes 596 CPUs in a Smuggling Case

According to the introduction, on that day, the Hong Kong Customs intercepted an outbound private car at the Shenzhen Bay Control Point based on risk assessment. After X-ray inspection, the customs officers found that the image of the trunk was abnormal, and found the batch of suspected smuggled goods in the hidden compartments on both sides of the trunk and in the trunk.

The Hong Kong Customs disclosed that a 51-year-old male driver was arrested in this operation, and the case is still under investigation. It is not excluded that more people will be arrested. The customs will continue to strictly enforce the law through risk assessment and intelligence analysis to combat cross-border smuggling activities.

According to the Hong Kong Ordinance Import and Export Ordinance, anyone who imports or exports unmanifested goods, upon conviction, can be sentenced to a maximum fine of HK$2 million (currently about RMB 1.861 million) and imprisonment for seven years.
