DenonHome Series Smart Speakers Now Support Siri Calling Feature in Partnership with Apple

TapTechNews May 14 news, Tianlong recently released a press release, announcing a partnership with Apple to introduce the Siri calling feature to its DenonHome 150/250/350 series smart speakers. If there is a HomePod/mini speaker in the local area network, users can use Siri voice assistant through DenonHome.

In addition to Siri, DenonHome smart speakers actually come with Amazon Alexa voice assistant service. However, users cannot run Siri and Alexa at the same time, they can only choose one in the settings.

TapTechNews noted that if users want to use the Siri calling feature, they need to update the U32 firmware for the DenonHome series speakers. After updating the firmware, the devices become the first batch of third-party smart speakers supporting Siri.

In fact, Apple announced as early as WWDC in 2021 that it would open the Siri calling feature to third-party manufacturers. In the same year, smart home manufacturer Ecobee introduced a thermostat that supports calling Siri, but no other companies have released similar products since then.
