Apple Releases macOS 15 Sequoia with New Features

TapTechNews June 11th news, at today's WWDC24 conference, Apple officially released the macOS 15 Sequoia operating system. In addition to introducing several new features of iOS 18, macOS 15 Sequoia also brought a brand new Continuity feature - iPhone Mirroring.

The iPhone Mirroring feature allows users to view and control the iPhone directly on the Mac, and the entire iPhone screen will be mirrored on the Mac, including all icons, home screens, applications, etc. Users can directly open any iPhone application on the Mac, and the sound of the iPhone will also be played through the Mac. It is worth noting that during the mirroring process, the iPhone can remain locked to ensure the privacy and security of users.

macOS 15 Sequoia also introduced the function of iPhone notifications being displayed on the Mac, and these notifications will be displayed side by side with the Mac's own notifications. Users can also easily transfer files between the Mac and the iPhone by dragging directly on the Mac.

In addition, macOS will now automatically resize application windows to tile them and fill the screen to make the most of the largest screen space.

macOS 15 also includes a new standalone Password application that allows users to manage Wi-Fi passwords, application and website passwords, verification codes, etc. The passwords are synchronized between devices, and macOS uses the autofill function to fill the passwords in the Password application. Thanks to the Windows version of the iCloud application, the password application can also be used on Windows.

The Safari browser has also become more intelligent and can automatically highlight useful information on webpages, such as map routes or video content, by using artificial intelligence technology.

macOS 15 Sequoia will be released to the public this fall, the developer beta is available now, and the public beta will be launched this month.
