Xiaomi and JD.com Announce New Strategic Cooperation

TapTechNews reported on May 13 that Xiaomi officially announced a new strategic cooperation with JD.com. Lu Weibing, Xiaomi Group's partner and president of the International Business Department, and Xu Romn, CEO of JD.com, attended the ceremony and witnessed the strategic signing. The two parties have set a goal for Xiaomi's sales through all channels on JD.com to reach 200 billion RMB ($31.27 billion) in the next three years. They will also jointly promote the popularization of Xiaomi's smart hardware products across multiple categories, accelerate the comprehensive implementation of the 'man-car-home full ecology' strategy, and provide more users with a fully intelligent Xiaomi experience. According to the agreement, JD.com and Xiaomi will deepen their cooperation in retail, logistics, technology, and finance while further expanding their collaboration in industrial, production, health, and insurance sectors, to achieve deep integration and coordinated development across multiple industries and explore broader market growth opportunities. JD Logistics will deepen its cooperation with Xiaomi in integrated logistics supply chain services, international logistics, and logistics digitization based on its nationwide and overseas warehouse resources, distribution network, industry experience, and technological capabilities, to help Xiaomi improve supply chain efficiency and digitization level, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance service experience. TapTechNews noted that Xiaomi and JD.com have previously engaged in extensive cooperation. In March of this year, the first JD-operated Xiaomi store opened in Tianjin, marking the first joint branded offline store. JD.com also supports Xiaomi Pay, further deepening the cooperation.
