Jacob&Co. and Bugatti Launch New Bugatti Tourbillon Watch
TapTechNews June 26th, Jacob&Co., a well-known watchmaker, has once again teamed up with the French car brand Bugatti to launch the all-new Bugatti Tourbillon watch (BugattiTourbillon), which pays tribute to the design concept, complexity, and appearance of Bugatti's latest supercar of the same name Bugatti Tourbillon .
It's not their first collaboration. As early as 2020, the Chiron Tourbillon watch jointly launched by Jacob&Co. and Bugatti amazed the world. The limited production of 250 pieces and the price of up to 280,000 US dollars were staggering, and what was more impressive was the miniature W16 engine design on the watch.
Four years later, the newly launched Bugatti Tourbillon wristwatch features a black titanium case, and 16 titanium pistons are cleverly inlaid in the engine cylinder made of sapphire crystal.
The most fascinating thing is that the watch has an engine running animation that lasts for 20 seconds, which gives the watch vitality and is unique in an era full of smart wearable devices.
The Bugatti Tourbillon watch is composed of 557 parts, equipped with a 30-second double flying tourbillon, and is equipped with a dual power storage device, a crown inspired by Bugatti's car control knob, and a subdial that mimics the supercar dashboard and tachometer.
Jacob&Co. said that the watch has a total of 10 design elements directly taken from Bugatti Tourbillon supercar. For example, the overall shape of the case is similar to that of the supercar, the grille is inlaid in the center of the two side radiators, and there are two sapphire openings on the side of the case, and the shape and color all echo the side windows of Tourbillon.
As early as September 2022, the two companies began to conceive this tourbillon watch. The following year, Jacob德罗's team also specifically visited Bugatti's design studio. Finally, after 18 months of cooperation, this watch with complex functions and luxurious design was born.
