MicDrop is an AI vocal plugin, which is trained by using the artist's own voice data to create official high-fidelity human voice models, while retaining the artist's control over ownership, allowing the artist to fully approve and control the output artistic content, and these models will be used for their exclusive creations, not open to the public.

MicDrop will be launched this summer and is a real-time (AU, VST3, AAX) plugin that is compatible with all major digital audio workstations (DAW). Universal Music claims that MicDrop enables artists and producers to explore sound transformations, including voice-to-voice, voice-to-instrument, speech-to-singing, language conversion and many previously inaccessible sound conversions.

SoundLabs was founded by Grammy-nominated producer, composer, software developer and electronic artist BT. BT has scored music for films such as Monsters and The Fast and the Furious. He has produced several audio plugins such as StutterEdit, BreakTweaker (iZotope), Polaris and Phobos (SpitfireAudio), and the total sales of software products exceed 70 million US dollars (TapTechNews note: currently about 509 million Chinese yuan).
