Li Auto Partners with Kunlun Web Electricity for Charging Network Expansion

TapTechNews June 18th news, today, Li Auto signed a cooperation agreement with PetroChina Kunlun Web Electricity Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as "Kunlun Web Electricity") at its R & D headquarters in Beijing.

Sun Guangmin, the head of Li Auto's charging network, said that the cooperation between the two sides would further promote the construction of Li Auto's 5C super charging stations and bring a charging service experience as convenient as refueling to more Li Auto owners.

Xue Guoxing, the executive director of Kunlun Web Electricity, said that the cooperation with Li Auto reflects PetroChina's strategic planning to transform to green and low-carbon, and will also accelerate the implementation of the construction and layout of the "oil, gas, hydrogen, electricity, non" sales terminal.

According to the introduction, Li Auto's super charging network currently has a coverage rate of more than 70% on the main lines of national highways in the four major economic belts of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Yangtze River Delta, Greater Bay Area, and Chengdu-Chongqing.

TapTechNews found out that as of June 17, there are already 448 Li Auto super charging stations and a total of 2016 Li Auto charging piles across the country. It is planned that by the end of 2024, there will be more than 2000 Li Auto super charging stations and 10000 Li Auto charging piles open in national highways and cities, and the coverage rate in the core urban areas of first-, second- and third-tier cities will exceed 90%, and the coverage rate of national highway trunk lines will exceed 70%.

The official also said that the two sides will jointly promote the development and construction of charging infrastructure on expressways and in cities across the country, optimize and enhance the charging service experience of smart electric vehicle users, promote the interconnection of charging platforms, and actively improve the convenience of charging services.

In addition, the two sides will efficiently integrate resources and carry out all-round and multi-level in-depth cooperation in the fields of owner services, leisure consumption, home charging pile services and scientific research projects to jointly create a comprehensive service ecosystem of "people, cars, life".
