Pentax to Launch New Half-Frame Film Camera

TapTechNews reported on June 7 that Pentax announced on March 1 this year that it will launch a brand new half-frame film camera (Note: A 36-exposure film can take 72 pictures) in summer. This camera adopts a fixed-lens and manual film advance design, and it is said that a small amount of old parts from the past are utilized.

The relevant photos show that the camera is named PENTAX17, corresponding to the 17 mentioned in the official trailer. Referring to the photos, this camera is matched with a 25mm F/3.5mm lens, the filter size is 40.5mm, and the closest focusing distance is 0.25 meters.

A previous official of Ricoh Imaging said that Pentax's first reproduction film camera will be a compact camera, developed for young users and adopting a manual film advance design to increase the sense of control.
