Global Smartphone Shipments Update in Q1 2024_0

Samsung: The shipment volume is 59.5 million units, and the market share ranks first. Among them, the market share of the Galaxy S24 series in the first quarter is 22.5%, an increase of 20% compared with the Galaxy S23 series last year. Due to the fact that the overseas sales of the A series are not as expected, it is estimated that the shipment volume in the second quarter will be less than 55 million units, and the decline may exceed 10%.

Apple: The shipment volume is 47.9 million units, and the market share is the second. It has declined compared to the same period last year. Due to the repeated news that the body parts supply chain will be replaced, and in addition, the second quarter is in the product iterative window period of Apple, it is estimated that the shipment volume in the second quarter will be reduced by about 10%.

Xiaomi (including Redmi and Poco): The shipment volume is 41.1 million units, and the market share is the third. Since the second half of 2023, due to the replenishment of inventory and the internal policy's encouragement of investment in emerging markets, the shipment volume data has performed better. Affected by the global economy and fierce competition in emerging markets, the goal in the second quarter will be to be on par with the first quarter.

OPPO (including OnePlus and realme): The shipment volume is 33.8 million units, and the market share is the fourth. Even if this brand has a slight growth in sales in emerging markets such as India, the year-on-year growth rate in the first quarter is still less than that of the low-end Android models of other brands. The main goal in the second quarter is to be on par with the first quarter.

Transsion: The shipment volume in the first quarter is about 29.8 million units, and the market share is the fifth. The output in the first quarter was too aggressive, and in addition to overlapping with the low-end models of Samsung, Xiaomi and Lenovo, the channel inventory began to accumulate.

Vivo (including iQOO): The shipment volume is 21.7 million units, and the quarterly market share ranks the sixth. The flagship phone X100 Ultra will be launched in the second quarter, and with the 618 promotion, the shipment volume is expected to be on par with the first quarter.
