Reboot Version of 'Perfect Dark' Expected to Appear at Xbox Gaming Exhibition in June

On May 14, TapTechNews reported that according to source Jeff Grubb, the reboot version of the game 'Perfect Dark' is expected to appear at the Xbox gaming exhibition in June this year.

After Microsoft's decision to close Arkane Austin, Tango Gameworks, and AlphaDogGames game studios, and merge Roundhouse Studios into ZeniMax Online, many players and media were concerned about the reboot plan of 'Perfect Dark'.

Grubb previously stated that the experienced Crystal Dynamics studio (known for 'Tomb Raider') officially collaborated with The Initiative to take over the reboot plan of 'Perfect Dark' in September 2021, but there has not been much progress in the development so far.

However, Grubb recently revealed that the reboot version of the game 'Perfect Dark' is expected to appear at the Xbox gaming exhibition in June this year. The current development version of the game is a bit rough, but he clarified that this is just the developers' feeling, and such situations are not uncommon in the development process.

TapTechNews note: 'Perfect Dark' is a first-person shooter game developed by Rare, originally released on the Nintendo 64 console in 2000.

The game was once very popular, but no sequel was released afterwards. In December 2020, Microsoft announced the reboot of the game series, to be developed by its newly established internal game development team, The Initiative.
