New Update for Star Citizen Adds Support for Vulkan API and DLSS/FSR Technologies

TapTechNews May 14th News, the well-known crowdfunding game Star Citizen recently launched the Alpha 3.23: Adventure Calling version on the Live server. This update adds support for Vulkan API and also adds support for NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR technologies.

However, Star Citizen still does not support Frame Generation technology, even with the Vulkan renderer, the game is still CPU-intensive. Therefore, DLSS and FSR technologies may not bring significant performance improvements, and CIG still needs to further optimize the game.

TapTechNews noticed that the Alpha 3.23 update has also brought some new content to Star Citizen, adding new animals and a new character creator for the persistent universe. Players will also discover new star maps, be able to hunt creatures, upgrade the space combat system, add new engineering gameplay modes, ship racetracks, and combat maps, improve the mobiGlas UI, add the smallest vehicle to the game so far - the Origin 404i. However, the game roadmap will not be updated until tomorrow.
