NVIDIA's Huang Renxun on Certifying Samsung's HBM

Huang Renxun said that NVIDIA is still researching and certifying the HBM chips provided by Samsung and Micron. He stated: We have only completed the engineering design at this stage, but the entire verification process has not ended. I originally thought it could be completed yesterday, but the actual situation is that it is still in the verification process, and we must have enough patience for this.

Since SK Hynix started to supply HBM3 and more advanced HBM3e chips to NVIDIA, its stock price has soared, while Samsung is in a catching-up state in the HBM field.

TapTechNews quoted a Reuters report on May 24th that the latest high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chip of Samsung Electronics has not passed the test of NVIDIA. Three people familiar with the matter said that the company's chip is affected by heating and power consumption issues.

When asked about this article, Huang Renxun said: There is simply no such thing.
