TapTechNews on May 19th reported that TCL CSOT showcased its display technologies such as HVA, HFS, MLED, MLCD, printed OLED and flexible OLED at the 2024 SID Display Week event in San Jose, California. (1 inch = 2.54 cm)
TapTechNews earlier this week had already introduced panels such as the 7.85-inch Tandem triple-fold flexible folding screen and the 14-inch 2.8K printed Hybrid OLED display.
This 16-inch 8K laptop display uses the LTPS process to achieve the world's highest 550 PPI pixel density in LCD laptops, with a brightness of 800 nits and covering 100% sRGB color gamut.
The world's first 14-inch high mobility Ln-Oxide 1:3 Mux display uses high mobility Ln-Oxide target material as the semiconductor layer, with a mobility of up to 30-50 cm²/(V·s); the unique Demux 1:3 architecture has a color gamut that can reach 100% sRGB and higher contrast.
The world's first 14-inch IJPQD-EL laptop screen uses TCL CSOT's printed QD-EL technology, has a 2.8K resolution, reaches a color gamut of BT2020>85%, and supports 30-120Hz VRR variable refresh rate technology.
The world's first 7.85-inch under-screen face authentication flexible screen adopts the Sensor under panel (SUP) design, and the pixel density in both the under-screen display area (SUP area) and the normal display area (AA area) is as high as 420 PPI, compatible with under-screen 3D face authentication, and is equipped with LTPO technology, supporting a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz.
The world's first 57-inch 8K ultra-thin MLED monitor is equipped with HVA technology, has more than 11,000 backlight partitions, achieving a 1,000,000:1 OLED-like dynamic contrast ratio and S-class Halo halo standard; it adopts a 32:9 ultra-wide display ratio, three-sided bezel-less design and R1000 curvature to support a 240Hz refresh rate with a response time of 1ms.
The world's highest contrast 4000:1 HFS display, through special pixel design, new liquid crystal and color resistance material development, etc., makes the contrast in the FFS display mode as high as 4000:1, combined with 4K high resolution and DCI-P3 99% high color gamut to achieve a four-sided 4/4/4/4mm bezel-less display.
TapTechNews note: HFS technology refers to the FFS edge field switching technology independently developed by TCL CSOT, which has characteristics such as high transmittance, high contrast, wide viewing angle, and high efficiency compared to traditional technologies.
The world's highest refresh rate 4K 1000Hz display combines the 6 Gbps rate of the national standard P2P protocol CSPI transmission technology and the AutoEQ technology to compensate for the attenuation during the ultra-high-speed signal transmission process.
