CENI is led by the Jiangsu Future Network Innovation Research Institute as the construction legal entity, supporting IP/non-IP/heterogeneous and other network innovation experiments, and has the ability to provide large-scale, cross-regional, ultra-high-speed and other experimental services.

CENI is a large network covering the whole country and radiating globally. It has currently covered 40 core city nodes across the country and 133 city nodes along the way, and has the ability to access services at these 173 city nodes.

CENI is the first national major scientific and technological infrastructure in the field of communication and information in China. After years of efforts, it has basically completed the construction and is comprehensively promoting the department acceptance. At the same time, it actively promotes the opening and sharing of the facility to produce more cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements.

One of the major advantages of CENI is the'microsecond-level' deterministic network service ability. Different from the 'best effort' of traditional Internet technology, the deterministic network can provide users with low-latency, low-jitter, high-throughput and high-reliability network transmission services.

Based on the same bandwidth and the same distance conditions, the video screen under the deterministic network is more clear and smooth. In the industrial intelligent manufacturing scenario, it can also'stably perform' and realize the precise control of the automated guided vehicle 500 miles away, which has important reference value and demonstration significance for application scenarios such as ultra-long-distance industrial robot control and ultra-long-distance remote surgery.
