Blast at TSMC Factory in Phoenix, Arizona Leads to Serious Injury

TapTechNews reported on May 16th that a blast occurred at 2:45 pm local time on May 15th at the TSMC factory in Phoenix, Arizona, causing at least one serious injury, with details still pending confirmation.

TSMC confirmed in a statement that an accident occurred at the construction site of its Arizona factory. A waste disposal truck driver was taken to a local hospital. TSMC stated that the factory facilities were not damaged, and TSMC employees and on-site construction workers have not reported any injuries.

According to ABC News, the Glendale and Daisy Mountain fire departments rushed to the factory for rescue at 2:45 pm after receiving the alarm. TapTechNews note: The factory is located near 43rd Avenue and Dove Valley Road in north Phoenix.

Helicopter footage captured by ABC15Arizona showed a large number of emergency personnel at the scene. The Phoenix Fire Department revealed that an adult male was seriously injured in the explosion, reportedly a factory worker. The man has been taken to the hospital, while the cause of the explosion is still under investigation.
