Leapmotor to Launch New Compact SUV at 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show

TapTechNews June 17th news, according to the report of "Auto Emperor Line of Sight", Leapmotor will release its new fully compact SUV at the 2024 Guangzhou Auto Show which will open in November. The new car may be the first model of the A series, with the internal code named A12.

TapTechNews noted that the spy photos of this new car were exposed by bloggers such as @Electric Knowledge Operational Girl as early as April this year, and the outline of the appearance is relatively close to that of Leapmotor C10, and the overall shape is relatively round, and it is expected to be positioned as a fully compact SUV. According to the current product layout of Leapmotor, the new car is expected to provide two power options of pure electric and extended range. As a reference, the listed Leapmotor C10 model has a price range of $19,800-$26,000 (approx.), and the car is 15,493mm in length, 7,480mm in width, 6,614mm in height, and the wheelbase is 11,122mm, and it can be optionally equipped with a laser radar.

In the cockpit, Leapmotor C10 adopts a floating 14.6-inch 2.5K central control screen + 10.25-inch full LCD instrument panel design, and is equipped with a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, an electronic gear selector, and a concealed air outlet, providing wireless charging for mobile phones, a fatigue driving monitoring camera, and a rear air conditioning outlet. In addition, the car is also equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, a NVIDIA Orin-X chip, and a new in-vehicle system.

In terms of power, Leapmotor C10 provides two power options: extended range and pure electric. The extended range version provides a 1.5-liter extender with a maximum power of 96 kW, and the power of the drive motor has a maximum power of 229 kW; the pure electric version also is equipped with a drive single motor with a maximum power of 229 kW.
