Phison Electronics Launches Enterprise SSD Brand PASCARI and X200 Series SSDs with PCIe Gen5 x4 Specifications

TapTechNews May 16 - Phison Electronics announced its enterprise solid-state drive brand, PASCARI, and simultaneously launched the X200 series solid-state drive with PCIe Gen5 x4 specifications.

As a traditional third-party controller company and consumer SSD module manufacturer, Phison has been expanding its business in recent years. In addition to the PCIe Gen5 signal chip, another major focus is the enterprise SSD market.

Phison previously collaborated with Seagate to develop the X1 SSD platform, which is used in Seagate Thunder 5x50 enterprise SSDs.

Phison stated that PASCARI is the acronym for Performance, AI (Artificial Intelligence), Security, Capacity, Acceleration, Reliability, and Innovation.

The brand aims to provide customers with enterprise SSDs with outstanding performance through existing and customized solutions.

The X200 solid-state drive launched by Phison this time belongs to the flagship performance-oriented X series, with two physical specifications, U.2 and E3.S PCIe, supporting dual ports, with two write endurance versions of 1DWPD and 3DWPD, covering capacities from 1.6TB to 30.72TB.

The X200 series SSDs have a maximum sequential read speed of 14.8GB/s, a maximum sequential write speed of 8.7GB/s, a maximum random read speed of 3000KIOPS, and a maximum random write speed of 900KIOPS.

In addition to the X series, the Phison PASCARI brand also includes:

AI series: used for the aiDAPTIV+AI training solution previously reported by TapTechNews;

Data center D series: adopting a compact M.22280/22110 or E1.S specification, suitable for data-intensive environments;

SATAS series: 2.5-inch SATA SSDs, with capacities up to 15.36TB;

Boot drive B series: U.2 or E1.S specifications, designed to provide data centers with a boot drive that balances various parameters.
