EA said that Wilson's huge salary is because he led the company to achieve a number of key strategic and operational goals, such as reorganizing the company's business into a brand-new EA Sports and EA Entertainment departments, and launching the EA Sports FC brand.

The statement also said that Wilson's employee satisfaction score has continued to be higher than the industry benchmark, and has made outstanding contributions in strategically adjusting the studio leadership to support franchise development and success.

Breaking down the composition of Wilson's salary, his basic salary is 1.3 million US dollars, the stock award is 20.4 million US dollars, the non-equity incentive plan compensation is 3.44 million US dollars, and there is also nearly 500,000 US dollars of personal security benefit funds.

In contrast, the median annual income of EA's regular employees in fiscal year 2024 is 148,704 US dollars, which means that Wilson's salary is 172 times that of regular employees. It is worth noting that Wilson's salary has also increased compared to 2023 (20.6 million US dollars) and 2022 (19.8 million US dollars).

After Wilson, the second in salary is Laura Miele, the president of EA Entertainment, Technology and Central Development. Her total income exceeded 12 million US dollars, including 820,000 US dollars of basic salary, 10.05 million US dollars of stock awards, and 1.2 million US dollars of non-equity incentive plan compensation.
