BYD Denza Auto Enters Cambodian Market, Opens First Store and Delivers First Batch of Denza D9
TapTechNews July 17th news, BYD Denza Auto officially announced today that on July 14th, Denza Auto's first store in Cambodia, DENZA HARMONY CITY MALL SHOWROOM, opened in the central business district of Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, and the first batch of Denza D9 owners were delivered.
On July 15 local time, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet also posted on social media that he met with Liu Xueliang, CEO of BYD Asia-Pacific Automobile Sales Division. BYD plans to invest in setting up an electric vehicle assembly plant in Cambodia, which can assemble 20,000 vehicles per year.
Ye Chenghui, regional director of BYD Asia-Pacific Automobile Sales Division, said at the opening ceremony of the new store that Denza will be committed to taking innovation as the driving force, providing high-quality products and services for Cambodian consumers, promoting the development of the local new energy vehicle market, and making contributions to the realization of green travel and sustainable development.
This move of Denza not only marks its official start in the Cambodian market, but also shows BYD's expansion strategy in the global new energy vehicle field.
According to TapTechNews' previous report, the 2024 Denza D9 was officially launched on March 6th, and a total of 8 models of two powertrains were launched. The domestic guide price starts from 339,800 yuan ($48,000). The length, width and height of this car are 5250/1960/1920mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3110mm.
