TapTechNews on June 7th, EA announced that it will shut down the online services of Battlefield 3, Battlefield 4, and Battlefield: Hardline on Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 7th, 2024. However, the PC servers will not be affected and players can still continue to play.
Released in 2011, Battlefield 3 was made by DICE and uses the next-generation Frostbite 2 engine. It is the 10th game in the Battlefield series, and its sequel, Battlefield 4, was released in 2013.
As of TapTechNews' reporting, Battlefield 3 has only a 67% positive rating on Steam, and the historical lowest price in the Chinese region is only 99 cents (about 6.8 RMB); while Battlefield 4 has a 86% positive rating, but it is locked in the Chinese region.
