China Mobile's May 2024 Updates 998.44M Mobile Customers, 502.56M 5G Network Users
TapTechNews June 20th news, China Mobile announced today that in May 2024, the cumulative total number of customers in the mobile business reached 998.44 million, with a net increase of 1.078 million customers in May and a cumulative net increase of 7.44 million in 2024. Among them, the number of 5G network customers reached 502.558 million.
TapTechNews note: In order to better reflect the company's 5G development, China Mobile has changed the number of 5G package customers disclosed monthly to the number of 5G network customers. The number of 5G network customers is the number of mobile customers who have used the 5G network in that month.
China Mobile's total number of customers in the wired broadband business reached 307.521 million in May, with a net increase of 111.8 million in May and a cumulative net increase of 9.275 million in 2024.
As a reference, in April 2024, the total number of mobile business customers of China Mobile was approximately 997 million, and the number of 5G package customers was 799 million. In terms of the wired broadband business, the total number of customers was approximately 306 million.
China Telecom's mobile user number in May 2024 was 415.38 million, with a net increase of 193 million in that month and a cumulative net increase of 761 million. The number of 5G package users was 334.26 million.
