TapTechNews quoted data from industry organization BOVAG that the sales of electric vehicles in the Netherlands have steadily increased, from 43,000 in 2019 to 128,000 last year, accounting for 30% of all new car sales.

At the opening event, Li Bin was interviewed by reporters. He pointed out that although there is still uncertainty about the EU's tariff policy on Chinese electric vehicles, NIO will still be committed to expanding its business in the European market.

But Li Bin also said, 'If the EU does levy a large amount of tariffs, we will make the most reasonable business decision, which may include delaying or canceling the launch of mid-range and entry-level models in Europe.'

Li Bin said that if NIO can sell 100,000 cars annually in Europe, it will consider building a factory in Europe with local partners.
