TapTechNews noticed that Chunghwa Telecom claims that the 3G network has a history of more than 20 years in Taiwan. After shutting down the relevant 3G base stations, they will focus on building 5G base stations in the future, and the existing 4G/5G voice calls will be converted to use the VoLTE (VoiceoverLTE) technology.

While Far EasTone Telecommunications/Taiwan Mobile claims that now the global 5G network has gradually become popular, and the 3G network can be said to have "retired after success".
