China's Hainan Commercial Aerospace Launch Site's 2nd Pad Completed

TapTechNews June 6th, according to CCTV News, the second launch pad of the first domestic liquid universal launch pad - the Hainan Commercial Aerospace Launch Site - was officially completed today (June 6th).

This launch pad started construction on October 30, 2022, and adopted an innovative 'three-horizontal' rapid launch mode, significantly improving the launch efficiency while also greatly reducing the launch preparation time. Its design takes the 5-meter core diameter as the largest envelope to meet the launch requirements of more than 10 rocket models from several rocket companies including Chang Zheng, Kuai Zhou, and Jie Long.

It is understood that with the successive successful completion of the first and second launch pads, the Hainan Commercial Aerospace Launch Site will enter the stage of the full-system combined practice with the first rockets of CZ-8A and CZ-12进场 according to the annual launch plan.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, Hainan Business Development announced last July that the Long March 8 Modified carrier rocket is planned to make its first flight at the first launch pad of the Hainan Commercial Aerospace Launch Center in June 2024, which is also the first flight mission of the Hainan Commercial Aerospace Launch Site. The Hainan Commercial Aerospace Launch Site is expected to have the launch capability by the end of this month, and the relevant commissioning work is being carried out in an orderly manner.
