Intel said that in the remaining time of 2024, it will continue to hold smaller-scale, more targeted events, webinars, hackathons and gatherings through IntelConnection and Intel AI Summit activities globally, and participate in other industry events.

In a statement provided to foreign media PCMag, Intel said:

Given that our financial performance and the outlook for the second half of 2024 are more severe than previously expected, we have to make some difficult decisions, continue to adjust our cost structure, and assess how we can rebuild a sustainable engine for our process technology leadership.

We sincerely thank our partners, sponsors, exhibitors, developer communities and the broad teams dedicated to supporting and attending this grand event.

Referring to TapTechNews' previous report, Intel may have originally planned to release the unlocked version of the Core Ultra 2nd-generation desktop processor (code-named ArrowLake-S) and other new products at the 2024 On Technology Innovation Conference, but now Intel needs to reselect the release timing.

Foreign media expect that the release activities originally scheduled at the 2024 On Technology Innovation Conference will be moved forward to the IFA 2024 in Berlin, Germany from September 6th to 10th local time, which is roughly concurrent with the official launch of LunarLake (September 4th).
