All-New Volkswagen Jetta Family to Be Released in the US

It is known that the all-new Volkswagen Jetta family includes the regular version Jetta and the performance version JettaGLI. The newly released teaser image indicates that the new car will be equipped with a honeycomb mesh grille and decorated with red trim. In addition, there is also an English word Let's Go inside the grille.

On June 17th, the first assembled VFF vehicle of the FAW-Volkswagen VW381/0CN_K project officially rolled off the assembly line, which is the FAW-Volkswagen Sagitar model that domestic users are very familiar with. VFF, that is, Vorserienfreigabefahrzeuge, meaning pre-production vehicle or trial production model, indicating the upcoming new generation of Sagitar.

In addition, the exposed spy photos show that the new Sagitar adopts the latest family design language, which is applied on the latest SAIC Volkswagen Tiguan L PRO. The front face design is more concise, and a new front grille shape is adopted.

For reference, currently the Sagitar on sale provides two engine versions of 1.2T and 1.5T. The maximum power of the 1.2T engine is 85 kilowatts, and the maximum torque is 175 Newton meters; while the maximum power of the 1.5T engine is 118 kilowatts, and the maximum torque is 250 Newton meters. In terms of the transmission system, the 1.2T engine is matched with a 5-speed manual transmission, and the 1.5T engine is matched with a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission.
