Apple Releases Firmware Updates for Multiple Audio Products

TapTechNews June 26th, Apple today released firmware updates for a variety of its audio products, including the Lightning and USB-C versions of AirPods Pro 2, the first-generation AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, the second and third-generation AirPods, Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro.

Among them, the firmware version numbers of the second-generation AirPods Pro, Beats Fit Pro and Powerbeats Pro were updated from 6F7 to 6F8, while the firmware version numbers of other products were updated from 6A321 to 6A326.

As always, Apple did not disclose the specific functional details of this update, only stating as bug fixes and other improvements. So far, it is not clear what specific new functions or improvements the new firmware brings.

Apple does not provide a guide for manually upgrading AirPods firmware, and the updates usually occur automatically when the AirPods are connected to a device running the iOS system. Users can also place the AirPods or Beats headphones in the charging case, connect to the power supply, and then pair them with an iOS device or Mac computer to try to trigger the firmware update.
