Microsoft Invites Xbox Insiders to Test New Xbox Game Pass Standard Subscription

TapTechNews August 21st, Microsoft's official Xbox blog released a blog post yesterday (August 20th), inviting Xbox Insiders program members to test the newly launched Xbox Game Pass Standard subscription service.

Microsoft said that during the Xbox Insider preview, players only need to pay $1 to register and purchase the Xbox Game Pass Standard subscription, and the subsequent price is $14.99 per month. The official blog post did not announce the end date of the preview.

TapTechNews reported on July 10th that Microsoft announced that it will increase the subscription price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate from September 12th and simultaneously launch a new Standard subscription service (without promising first-party Xbox games at launch).

An important distinction of the Standard subscription service is that it does not promise first-party Xbox games at launch, but it includes the console online multiplayer gaming feature, which is also a feature lacking in the previous Xbox Game Pass console version.
