Lotus Releases 2025 Emira Sports Car with New Versions and Updates

TapTechNews October 7th news, Lotus has released the 2025款 Emira sports car. The new car will launch three versions: Emira Turbo, Turbo SE, and V6, and the current First Edition version has been cancelled. The new Emira will be launched in some countries in the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, and Africa. For reference, the current price range of the Emira sold in the domestic market is 902,800 to 1,158,800 yuan.

The Emira was first亮相 at the Guangzhou Auto Show in 2021. Previously, Lotus had announced the discontinuation of other pure fuel vehicles, including the Elise, Evora, and Exige, which means that the future products of Lotus will be fully electrified.

In terms of appearance, the new Emira is highly consistent with the current model. The front face design is simple, the longitudinally arranged front lamp group has a prominent three-dimensional sense and is decorated with LED light sources.

In the side design, the Emira is similar to the Evija, showing the wind-sculpted line of the Lotus supercar. The waistline continues the streamlined design of the Evija, and the waistline at the front wheel rises. In terms of body dimensions, the Emira is 4413/1896/1235 millimeters in length, width, and height respectively, and the wheelbase is 2570 millimeters, which is larger than the Elise, Evora, and Exige.

The Emira Turbo model is equipped with a new style of 20-inch bright silver wheel rims, VividRed paint, black leather interior, 12-way power-adjustable seats, the Emira Turbo body nameplate, and Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport tires.

The Emira Turbo SE is standard with the Lotus driving package, including a sporty suspension, perforated brake discs, and a complete set of control systems. In other configurations, the car provides zinc-gray paint, Alcantara roof liner, red brake calipers, black Lotus brand logo, and the Emira Turbo SE body nameplate.

The Emira V6 model provides perforated brake discs, Goodyear Eagle F1 SuperSport sport tires, and a limited-slip differential (LSD).

In terms of power, the Emira Turbo and Turbo SE are equipped with a 2.0T four-cylinder turbocharged engine, with a maximum power of 360 horsepower and 400 horsepower respectively, and a maximum torque of 430 Newton-meters and 480 Newton-meters respectively. The transmission system is matched with an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Turbo SE model has a 0-100 kilometers per hour acceleration time of 4 seconds, and the maximum speed is 290 kilometers per hour, which is the fastest Emira so far. The V6 model is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 supercharged engine with a maximum power of 400 horsepower and a maximum torque of 420 Newton-meters. The transmission system is matched with a 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox, and the 0-100 kilometers per hour acceleration time is 4.2 seconds, and the maximum speed is 290 kilometers per hour.

The price of the Emira Turbo is $199,990 (TapTechNews note: currently about 1.415 million yuan, excluding on-road costs), while the price of the Emira Turbo SE is $209,990 (currently about 1.485 million yuan, excluding on-road costs). Orders will start from mid-October. The pricing and order date of the Emira V6 have not been determined and are expected to be launched in 2025.

Geely acquired 51% of the shares of Lotus in 2017, but Lotus still has an Emira manufacturing plant in the UK.
