Apple Launches macOS 15 Sequoia with Updated Chess Game

TapTechNews on June 15th, Apple launched the macOS 15 Sequoia system at the WWDC 2024 Global Developer Conference, mainly bringing functions such as iPhone mirroring, and also upgraded the chess game.

After Mac users upgrade to the macOS 15 Sequoia system, they can see a brand new chess game with a more modern and new graphic. The bright background also replaces the dark gray particle gradient, and the chessboard and pieces now have brighter and more realistic textures.

However, the previous macOS pre-installed chess game provided 4 style options, while the new version only provides 3 types such as wood, marble, and metal (removed the grassland). In addition, the new version cannot choose other styles for the chessboard and pieces.
