vivo to Launch New Battery and S19 Series Phones with Advanced Features

TapTechNews May 27th news, according to the report of the STAR Market Daily, supply chain sources revealed that vivo will soon launch the Blue Sea battery with a new generation of silicon-carbon anode materials. Its energy density is about 20% higher than that of ordinary graphite anode batteries and about 16% higher than that of ultimate graphite anode batteries. This battery will be equipped in vivo S19 series phones, and supplied by Ningde New Energy.

TapTechNews found out that the currently widely used traditional graphite anode energy density is about 372 mAh/g, while the theoretical energy density of pure silicon anode materials can reach 4200 mAh/g, which is more than 10 times that of graphite anode energy density. However, the silicon anode will expand and become larger during charging and discharging. The volume expansion of the reaction between silicon and lithium can reach 300%, and adding carbon coating is one of the effective ways to solve the expansion of the silicon anode, so there is the silicon-carbon anode battery.

The vivo S19/Pro phones will be released at 19:00 on May 30th. It is the industry's first to launch a 50-million-pixel Sony IMX921 large base and a 50-million-pixel Sony telephoto portrait. This series of phones will bring rain and mist cyan, pine smoke black, peach blossom fan, thousand mountain green, and sword shadow gray colors.
