Although this technology may not be of great significance for e-readers, as the screen cannot be refreshed when it is out of the wireless charging range, but it is very suitable for scenarios such as retail store billboards, museum information points, transportation hub timetables, and conference room dynamic notifications.

The display has built-in Wi-Fi and can receive remote updates. At the same time, the Wi-Charge module on the ceiling can wirelessly power multiple displays simultaneously.

The Wi-Charge's AirCord wireless charging module can be purchased as an optional accessory on the product page of the ESP6-13 electronic paper display and needs to be installed on the ceiling of the building where the display is located. Wi-Charge said that each transmitter can transmit several watts of power to a thumb-sized receiver embedded in the DigitalView display at a distance of 30 feet (TapTechNews note: about 9.14 meters) or more using infrared technology.

This 13.3-inch EInkSpectra6 color electronic paper display has a resolution of 1200x1600 pixels and has high readability in both normal ambient light and strong light conditions, which is very suitable for public signboards. Each ESP6-13 display is installed in an aluminum frame and has built-in Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and USB-C connections.

Wi-Charge said that this innovative display combines Wi-Fi and wireless charging technology, eliminating the need for wires or batteries and enabling remote content management and unprecedented flexible deployment.
