Microsoft Admits Windows 11 Update KB5039302 Has Bugs

TapTechNews July 13th news, Microsoft updated the support documentation yesterday (July 12th) and admitted that there is a BUG in the Windows 11 June optional update (KB5039302), and there will be a failure in the process of invoking the WindowsUpdateAgentAPI.

According to the post content, after users install the KB5039302 update, it will cause problems in the PowerShell or VBScript script that invokes this API. When querying some object properties, an empty result will be returned, resulting in users encountering the 0x8002802B TYPE_E_ELEMENTNOTFOUND error.

Microsoft stated that this BUG affects the Windows 11 22H2 and Windows 11 23H2 updates, and the Windows Server system is not affected.

Microsoft said it has used the KnownIssueRollback function to mitigate the impact of this BUG and eliminate the damage without disturbing the users, but in some cases, IT administrators must deploy a special group policy to alleviate this problem.
