Huawei and Henan Unicom Deploy First Digital High-Power Indoor Distribution Solution in Anyang

TapTechNews August 29th news, according to the official news of Huawei today, Henan Unicom, in collaboration with Huawei, has successfully deployed the country's first new digital high-power indoor distribution solution - LightSiteMax in Anyang City's Jianye Baicheng Tiandi.

This solution only uses 2 headends to achieve full coverage of 6,000 square meters. With a single carrier 100 MHz bandwidth, it realizes a user experience of over 600 Mbps downstream and over 190 Mbps upstream, achieving an all-round network upgrade in areas such as the mall's customer rest area, dining area, shops, elevators, and underground parking lot.

It is introduced that in large shopping malls such as Anyang City's Jianye Baicheng Tiandi, due to the large single-layer area and many partitions, the traditional outdoor network signal is difficult to fully cover, resulting in widespread existence of weak indoor network coverage areas.

The LightSiteMax digital indoor distribution solution, relying on its characteristic of 2W high power, realizes a doubling of the coverage range of a single pRRU, and only uses two headends to achieve full coverage of the 6,000-square-meter mall.

After the deployment is completed, with a single carrier 100 MHz bandwidth achieving a user experience of over 600 Mbps downstream and over 190 Mbps upstream. Compared with the traditional DAS solution, the downstream experience is enhanced by more than 190%, meeting the needs of users in the mall for business requirements such as mobile payment, live streaming, videos, and calls during peak periods.

TapTechNews has learned that LightSiteMax is a network solution provided by Huawei for medium and low-traffic office buildings, hotels and other scenarios. It adopts a 4G/5G dual-mode integrated headend, with a single-channel having watt-level power, realizing multi-point transceiver signals through an external antenna, and can support up to 12 external points at most, while also supporting pRRU-level cell soft split, doubling the coverage area, and the peak can reach gigabit.
