Xiaomi Launches Small Solar Panel for Outdoor Cameras

TapTechNews June 14 - In May this year, Xiaomi launched a small solar panel overseas that can be used for outdoor cameras. Now, this new product has been released on the official Xiaomi mall at a price of 199 yuan ($28).

TapTechNews learned that this solar panel is made of monocrystalline silicon, with a maximum output power of 5 watts and comes with a randomly attached 3-meter USB-C waterproof charging cable, and the wing-shaped soft rubber design at the charging interface enhances the water-blocking effect and effectively prevents rainwater from seeping in during the charging process. The whole machine adopts the IP66 dust-proof and waterproof design, which can cope with harsh outdoor environments such as flying dust and sand particles, wind and rain.

The product has dimensions of 218/178/16 mm and provides accessories such as brackets, installation positioning stickers, and screws. The product only supports the power supply of Xiaomi's BW series outdoor cameras, and currently supports the model Xiaomi outdoor camera BW500.
