New OTA Update for smart Cars smartOS 1.4.0 CN with Multiple Enhancements
TapTechNews July 12th news, smart cars announced today that the brand-new version of OTA smartOS 1.4.0 CN is fully launched, bringing 8 new functions and 10 function optimizations.

New Close Friends Encounter function: Supports greeting, sending voice, following actions, etc. with car owners within 50 kilometers, and can chat across distances after following each other;
Netease Cloud Music is launched, providing HENRY Lau's exclusive sound effect;
The BRABUS version and Platinum version of the smart #1 add simulated engine sound;
The smartPilotAssist 1.0 model adds the assisted driving voice reminder function, and the smartPilotAssist 2.0 model optimizes this function;
The rest mode adds a reminder function;
Optimizes the interaction of the navigation split-screen desktop interface;
Adds the OTA night installation function;
TapTechNews noticed that the new smart #1/#3 models were launched in April this year, with starting prices of $23980 and $25480 respectively. (154900 yuan and 164900 yuan converted to US dollars)
The smart #1 has dimensions of 4270/1822/1636 mm (length/width/height) and a wheelbase of 2750 mm. The car is equipped with a 12.8-inch floating central control screen and a 9.2-inch full LCD instrument cluster.
In terms of power, the smart #1 is equipped with a permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 200 kW and a maximum torque of 343 N·m. Two battery pack capacities of 49 kWh and 66 kWh are available, and the CLTC pure electric cruising range is 400 km and 535 km respectively.
The smart #3 has dimensions of 4400*1844*1556 mm (length/width/height) and a wheelbase of 2785 mm. The car is also equipped with a 12.8-inch floating central control screen and is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip.
In the power part, the single-motor version has a maximum power of 200 kW and a maximum torque of 343 N·m, and the 0-100 km/h acceleration time is 5.4 seconds; the dual-motor version has a front motor with a maximum power of 115 kW and a rear motor with a maximum power of 200 kW; the CLTC pure electric cruising range has three options of 415 km, 555 km, and 520 km.
