The 2025 Volvo XC60 SUV Details, Configurations, and Market Outlook

The official guide price remains at $56,600 to $59,800, the same as the 2024 models. The new model has made adjustments to the detailed configuration and the parameters of the B5 power engine.
TapTechNews noticed that in terms of appearance, the 2025 XC60 cancels the Flash Silver Gray and Lava Red Metallic Paint options, providing seven car paint colors for consumers to choose from. In the interior, the LinearLime straight-grained basswood interior trim equipped with the black Nappa leather seat has been updated from the original wood color to black. In addition, the option of black Nappa leather seat with DriftWood driftwood interior is also provided, but this configuration is limited to the B5 AWD Zhiyuan Deluxe Edition. At the same time, the car key of the new XC60 also adopts a new design.
In terms of safety configuration, the new XC60 continues to be standard with the third-generation CitySafety urban intelligent safety system, in which the PilotAssist intelligent piloting assistance function supports adaptive curve-centered cruising at 0 to 80 mph. The vehicle is also equipped with an active cabin pre-purification system and a real-time air quality monitoring system.
In terms of power performance, the new XC60 continues to provide the B5 power version, equipped with a 2.0T four-cylinder engine and a 48-volt mild hybrid system. The maximum power of the engine is 249 horsepower, and the peak torque is increased to 265 lb-ft (increased by 10 lb-ft). The transmission system is matched with an 8-speed automatic transmission, and the comprehensive fuel consumption per 100 miles under the WLTC condition is reduced to 1.78 gallons (reduced by 0.08 gallons). It is known that the engine of the new XC60 will adopt the Otto cycle when under high load and the Miller cycle when under low load to reduce energy consumption.
The sales data shows that the cumulative sales of Volvo XC60 in the past six months is 33,636 units, ranking 14th in the midsize SUV sales list. From the perspective of the selling price and model positioning, the main competitors of XC60 include traditional luxury brand fuel models such as Audi Q5L, BMW X3, and Cadillac XT5. With the increase of the market penetration rate of new energy vehicle models, new energy vehicle models such as Tesla Model Y and NIO ES6 will also pose market competition pressure to XC60.
