Meizu Launches First Car Model 'Meizu MX' with FlymeAuto In-car System

Updated at 17:48: Meizu's Unbounded Smart Travel official website has removed the Galaxy E5, Lynk Zero, and Meizu MX, keeping only the released Lynk 07 and Lynk 08.

TapTechNews reported on May 13 that Meizu's first car model under the brand will be named Meizu MX. This model will feature the FlymeAuto full-stack intelligent in-car system. In addition to the Meizu MX, other models using this system include Lynk 07, Lynk 08, Galaxy E5, and Lynk Zero.

In November last year, Meizu announced its official entry into the automotive market, aiming to create a DreamCar exclusively for Meizu fans. The car will be based on the SEA architecture and Geely's Industry 4.0 manufacturing capabilities. Furthermore, all users who purchase the Meizu 21 can directly use the original price to offset the purchase price, essentially buying a car with a phone as a gift.

Meizu also announced the launch of the Unbounded Smart Travel Open Platform, sharing the core capabilities of FlymeAuto with other in-car systems, with the FlymeAuto 2.0 version coming this year.

TapTechNews noticed another exposed model, Lynk Zero, positioned as a large high-performance pure electric sports sedan, sharing the 800V platform with Geekplus 001. It can be seen as the Lynk version of the Geekplus 001, expected to be launched in the middle of the year, with a price range of 200,000-300,000 yuan (about $31,300-46,900).

The length of the car may exceed 5 meters, the width may exceed 2 meters, the wheelbase can reach around 3 meters, equipped with a dual-chamber air suspension + AI digital chassis. There are reports that the car may also be equipped with rear-wheel steering, capable of functions like crab mode.
