BMW's New Generation iX3 Testing, Redesign, and Future Prospects

From the spy photos, it can be seen that the new generation of BMW iX3 has redesigned the double-kidney grille on the front of the car, and the overall style of the body is more sporty. This is quite similar to the previously released Neue Klasse series concept car by BMW.

In March this year, BMW released the new concept car Vision Neue Klasse X. This car is positioned as a high-performance pure electric crossover (SAV), and is a new member of the Neue Klasse family after the three-box sedan version Vision Neue Klasse released last year.

According to TapTechNews, Vision Neue Klasse X can be regarded as the electrified version of the future BMW X3. The new car will adopt a brand-new electric drive system, abandoning the design of separate control units of traditional fuel vehicles and instead adopting a powerful central processing unit for centralized control. This design will bring faster response speed, higher efficiency and better driving pleasure.

At the same time, the Neue Klasse series models will also adopt the sixth-generation eDrive electric drive technology and new cylindrical lithium-ion batteries. Compared with the current prismatic batteries, the energy density has increased by 20%. Thanks to the 800-volt fast charging architecture, charging for 10 minutes can obtain a cruising range of 300 kilometers. However, at present, BMW has not yet announced the specific power and performance data of Neue Klasse X.

In terms of interior, Vision Neue Klasse X adopts a minimalist style and incorporates a new connected technology experience. The traditional iDrive operating system will be eliminated, and instead it will be controlled through the central control touch screen or steering wheel buttons.
