Geely Radar Expands into Thai Market, Establishes First Overseas Subsidiary

In recent days, Geely Radar has been frequently making layout moves in the Thai market. First, the Thai vice premier met with a group led by Geely Radar CEO Ling Shiquan, and then Geely Radar announced that its pioneer products will participate in the 41st Thailand International Motor Expo in November and will debut with the new brand name RIDDARA.

Geely Radar stated that Thailand has a long history of pickup culture and a good market environment. The sales of pickups have accounted for more than 40% of the automotive market share all year round and is the most popular model in Thailand, far exceeding SUVs and sedans.

As a brand based in the field of new energy pickups, Geely Radar is very optimistic about the development prospects of the Thai new energy market. On March 27th this year in Bangkok, the Thai vice premier specifically received Geely Radar CEO Ling Shiquan and Geely Radar CFO Wang Daxue and others who went to Thailand for investigation. He expressed that he very much welcomes Geely Radar to invest in the Thai new energy automotive industry.

In the future, Geely Radar Thailand subsidiary will independently operate the RlDDARA brand and use ASEAN as a springboard to establish a sound service network and create a right-hand drive market spanning ASEAN and the Pacific region.
