TapTechNews August 27th news, yesterday (August 26th), Samsung officially launched the Premiere9 and Premiere7 ultra-short-throw laser projectors, with a starting price of $3,000 (TapTechNews note: currently about 21,377 RMB).
The Premiere9 adopts a three-laser design. Samsung claims it can improve color accuracy and light output, with a maximum ISO of 3,450 lumens, an 18% increase over the previous generation.
In terms of sound effects, the Premiere9 adopts a 2.2.2 design, that is, two small subwoofers, two upward-firing speakers, and two main speakers. The power of this lineup is 40 watts, which is enough to meet the needs of most small and medium-sized rooms.
The rated brightness of the Premiere7 is 2,500 ISO lumens, an 8.7% increase over the previous generation. It has a 2.2-channel sound system with a power of 30 watts.
The Premieres have Samsung's Tizen operating system built in, providing a similar experience to Samsung TVs such as the S95DOLED, including pre-installed Netflix, Amazon PrimeVideo, etc.
Both Premieres have 4K resolution and are compatible with HDR10Plus, and the lenses can play images with a diagonal of up to 130 inches.
The retail price of the Premiere9 is $6,000, while the price of the downgraded version, Premiere7, is half of it, at $3,000 (currently about 21,377 RMB).
