China's Benyuan Wukong Quantum Computer Open to Kids

TapTechNews May 27th news, Benyuan Quantum announced that the Anhui Provincial少工委 (Anhui Provincial Young Pioneers Committee), the Anhui Provincial Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center plan to jointly hold the first Open Teaching Activity of China's Independent Quantum Computer Cluster on June 1. Five independent superconducting quantum computer clusters such as Benyuan Wukong will be open to children and adolescents. This activity will be held in the core laboratory of Benyuan Quantum, the first quantum computing company in China.

On June 1 (Saturday) from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Dr. Kong Weicheng, the deputy director of the Anhui Provincial Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center and the head of the Benyuan Wukong hardware research and development team, and the outstanding Young Pioneers counselor representative, Teacher Shu Huili, will give lectures to children and adolescents, and issue certificates of completion of popular science courses to the participating teenagers. The location is Benyuan Quantum Computing Technology (Hefei) Co., Ltd. (Building D8, Zhong'an Chuanggu) in Benyuan Quantum, Hefei City, Anhui Province, Shushan District, Zhong'an Chuanggu, Building D8.

According to TapTechNews, Benyuan Wukong is China's third-generation independent superconducting quantum computer, which went online and operated on January 6, 2024. This quantum computer is equipped with a 72-bit independent superconducting quantum chip Wukong Chip, and it is the most advanced programmable and deliverable superconducting quantum computer at present. This computer is named Wukong, which implies that it is as powerful as the traditional Chinese mythological figure Sun Wukong and can change seventy-two times.

The Benyuan Wukong quantum computer is equipped with China's independent quantum chips, independent quantum computing measurement and control system, independent quantum computer operating system and independent quantum computer application software. The localization rate has reached 80%, and the rest of the components have been self-developed and reserved.

As of May 27, Benyuan Wukong has successfully completed 225,000 computing tasks for users in 124 countries and regions around the world. The number of global remote accesses to Wukong has exceeded 9.38 million times. Among foreign access users, the number of users in the United States ranks first.
