Alibaba's Multiple Apps Start Developing Native Applications for HarmonyOS, DingTalk's Progress and Features

The user @Qiqi on Xiaohongshu found that the system version displayed when scanning the code to log in with the native version of DingTalk for HarmonyOS is Android 13, which has aroused extensive discussions among users. In response, the official customer service of DingTalk said it will be repaired immediately.
According to TapTechNews' previous report, on March 14 this year, several applications under Alibaba held a HarmonyOS cooperation signing ceremony with Huawei and announced that they will start the development of native applications for 11 Apps such as Xianyu, 1688, Fliggy, Ele.me, Hema, Cainiao, Diantao, Taobao Tejia Edition, Damai, Taopiaopiao, and Dengta Professional Edition based on HarmonyOS NEXT, covering multiple fields such as e-commerce, new retail, local life, tourism services, and cultural entertainment.
According to the official introduction of DingTalk, after using the Bi Sheng Compiler C/C++ compilation optimization, the cold start time of DingTalk has been reduced by 21.08%, and the performance has been improved by 17.02%. The native version of DingTalk for HarmonyOS is based on the characteristic of one-time development and multi-terminal deployment of HarmonyOS NEXT. The same set of code can cover multiple devices such as mobile phones, folding screens, and tablets, creating a multi-terminal consistent experience.
The CTO of DingTalk, Cheng Caohong, mentioned at the previous Huawei Developer Conference that the development of the native version of DingTalk for HarmonyOS is not a simple compatibility, but there is an opportunity to create a product with a completely different experience and truly deeply integrate AI into the product. Such a development result also provides a good example for other similar applications and will accelerate the realization of efficient innovation in more applications in the HarmonyOS ecosystem.
