China's Chang'e-6 Completes Groundbreaking Lunar Mission

TapTechNews September 21st news, according to the report of CCTV News today, in June this year, China's Chang'e-6 lunar exploration mission successfully completed the feat of the first human sampling from the far side of the moon and brought back 1935.3 grams of precious samples, which is the first time for human beings so far to obtain research samples from the far side of the moon. And today, the Chang'e-6 lunar samples from the far side of the moon are disclosed for the first time.

The surface sampling samples of Chang'e-6 have now been divided into 10 glass vessels, each about 150 grams. Compared with the Chang'e-5 lunar samples, due to the different mineral composition of the Chang'e-6 lunar samples, the color of the Chang'e-6 lunar samples appears slightly lighter.

TapTechNews learned from the report that when the Chang'e-6 lunar samples returned, the lunar soil was encapsulated in a specially made, sealed storage tank and brought back to the earth. Nearly 3 months later, these precious alien visitors have been unsealed, and based on these lunar samples from the far side of the moon, Chinese scientists have also recently published the first scientific result of the research on the Chang'e-6 lunar samples.

Previously, all the lunar samples obtained by human beings were from the front side of the moon. The sampling point of Chang'e-6 is located at the edge of the Apollo impact crater inside the South Pole-Aitken Basin on the far side of the moon. The lunar crust in this area is extremely thin and is expected to reveal the original materials of the early impact basins on the far side of the moon.
