Tesla Model Y Enters Jiangsu Government's New Energy Vehicle Procurement List for the First Time

The 'Jiangsu Province Party and Government Organs, Institutions and Group Organizations 2024-2025 New Energy Automobile Framework Agreement Procurement' was announced last month, and Tesla Model Y has entered the new energy vehicle procurement catalog of the Jiangsu provincial government, which is the first case of Tesla entering the government procurement catalog in China.

TapTechNews noticed that this latest batch of procurement shortlisted models also includes WENJIE M7, Aouita 11, Deepal SL03, Deepal S7, Zhiji LS6, Zhiji L7, Galaxy L6, Galaxy E8 Executive Edition, Geometry E, Geometry G6, Changan UNI-K/Z, Kaiyuan A07, Kaiyuan Q05, Roewe D5X, Volvo XC40, CaoCao 60 and other models.

According to the open-framework agreement procurement solicitation document (JSZC-320000-SCZX-K2024-0107) announced by the Jiangsu provincial government, the procurement indicators include sub-packages such as sedans, off-road vehicles and SUVs, business vehicles and MPVs, pickup trucks, medium and large passenger cars, etc. The price limit for SUVs is $39054(250000 Yuan), and the pure electric cruising range is required to exceed 400 kilometers.

Currently, the official guidance price of Tesla Model Y Rear-wheel drive version (standard range version) is $39054(249900 Yuan), the CLTC pure electric cruising range is 554 kilometers, the 100-kilometer acceleration is 5.9 seconds, and the maximum speed can reach 217 kilometers per hour.
