AMD Ryzen 9000 X3D CPU Offers Comprehensive Overclocking Support
TapTechNews June 29 news, AMD's Ryzen X3D processors launched in the past two generations are regarded as one of the best gaming processors on the market, and can have performance close to or even far exceeding(beyond) the flagship CPU in most online games, but these two generations of X3D processors do not support official overclocking.
Wccftech reported that the AMD Ryzen 9000 X3D CPU can provide comprehensive overclocking support, which is also the first time AMD's Ryzen X3D chip supports official overclocking.
AMD initially took a very conservative approach when launching the Ryzen 5000 X3D processor, and its temperature and voltage were strictly limited, and the official did not provide any tuning options.
Later, after AMD launched the Zen4 architecture Ryzen 7000 series X3D processor with the second-generation 3D V-Cache technology, it provided more tuning options for enthusiasts, including the Precision Boost Overdrive (PBO) and Curve Optimizer (CO) functions, as well as the EXPO memory overclocking function, which is deeply sought after by players.
The next-generation Ryzen 9000 X3D processor with the Zen5 architecture will have more exciting geek features and fully support overclocking settings, and players on the AM5 platform will be able to enjoy the full overclocking support on the next-generation X3D processor.
This shows that AMD has fine-tuned the 3D cache chip design and has passed the test of overclocking masters to ensure that it will not be burned due to simple overclocking, and it is believed that this will also attract more enthusiast players to join the X3D camp.
According to Wccftech, AMD Ryzen 9000 series CPUs have lower temperature and power consumption, and the DDR5 overclocking performance is greatly enhanced, and players can still continue to use the previous DDR5-6000 memory, but the upper limit of its memory frequency will be increased to 6400 MT/s, while maintaining a 1:1 FCLK to MCLK ratio.
